With respect, Keith, I think you’re oversimplifying when you suggest pregnancy and childbirth is simply a nine month inconvenience. Perhaps in a better world. The reality is that women can and do lose their jobs permanently for either not being able to work due to complications or just plain morning sickness, etc. due to pregnancy, not to mention being judged and condemned by others for having low morals. You talk about accountability for choices and actions, but no one seems to include the man, who is equally responsible, some multiple times. Is the answer to that a mandated vasectomy, so he cannot continue impregnating women, or would that be a personal choice that shouldn’t be taken away from him? I respect the moral issue you place at the center of this debate, but nobody else’s moral issues should apply to someone else’s choices.
