William, the article posed a question about why some people consider the man a savior when he clearly does not meet their own criteria. I don’t understand it. That’s not to say that the other candidate is perfect in any sense. None of us is perfect, myself included. It wasn’t even about politics. It wasn’t a comparison of viewpoints or policies or who to vote for. It was an honest question about how people can consider someone who goes against their beliefs as their and God’s chosen candidate, which is exactly what some people are claiming. I don’t understand why. I specifically stated the article was not meant to judge or condemn Trump or his followers, and I also made it a point to say not all Christians or Evangelicals endorse him. I went on to say that not all of his supporters have religious reasons for supporting him. I just don’t understand the people who do, and no one can explain it to me.
I need to remain true to myself. I write for a variety of reasons, and I share ideas, points of view, messages, and believe in self expression. I don’t know Trump, and although I strongly disagree with his words and actions and condemn them, that doesn’t mean I condemn him or wish him any harm. I don’t. I don’t think he or anyone else is all good or all bad, I believe that everything everyone does serves a higher purpose, and I don’t think writing an article expressing my viewpoints and thoughts, and in this case a question, is harmful. Obviously, I’m voting for the other candidate, as is my prerogative, just as it’s everyone’s prerogative to choose who to vote for. I don’t think she’s a savior, is Gods chosen candidate, and I don’t tell anyone who to vote for, but I have as much right to share my views and opinions, pose my questions, and share information as everyone else. I’m not out for blood, I’m not being ugly, I’m writing about things I choose to write about. That, also, is my prerogative. I often write about things that don’t make sense to me, and this is one of them. I DON’T GET IT! I’m sorry if that offends you or anyone else. That is not my intent.
