Why I Don’t Believe the Bible is Factual
It’s Just Common Sense
I believe in God.
I don’t identify with any religion.
I don’t go to church.
I channel Archangels.
Just wanted to get that out there up front, so you can decide if you even want to continue reading.
I grew up reading the Bible, and there was a time when I believed that it was infallible, but that was a long time ago, and now common sense tells me otherwise. It has nothing to do with putting human limitations on God. I still believe God is all powerful, but God did not write the Bible, men did. Following are the reasons I no longer view the Bible as “gospel”.
It’s … well … OLD!
It was written and assembled at a time when things were completely different and much less was known. Times change … Thank God! In most places, we don’t stone people anymore, women are considered equal (well, sometimes), and more people are educated, not to mention knowledge rests at the tips of our fingers with the technology available.
Things that were acceptable and believable back then are no longer applicable today. Priorities have changed. Culture has changed and varies around the world. What was crucially important so long ago differs greatly from what is…
