Why Do People Care How Others Live Their Lives?
The Archangels Try to Explain
Evangelical Christians are being seen in a very bad light these days, because many in their ranks have set their sights on forcing others to live the kind of life that they have deemed acceptable. I’ve said this before, and it bears repeating, these folks are not representative of all Christians, and it saddens me that a couple billion Christians in the world are being judged and condemned because of a relative few. I think it’s important to always remember that. If we lump all Christians into one despised group, we’re doing the same thing as those who we see on the news, judging any and every group that is different from their own to be evil and disposable.
Having said that, I have to say that I take exception to anyone who thinks their way is the only way and everyone should be forced to follow their beliefs. I have such a hard time understanding why people can’t just live their own lives and leave others alone. I mean, if you think certain actions are unforgiveable, don’t do them, but why can’t everyone let others decide what is right and wrong for themselves?
Gay marriage is between the people getting married, so why would others take exception to it? If someone thinks abortion is terrible, then they shouldn’t get one, but why should anyone have a say over…
