What are “Walk-ins?”

The Archangels Explain Why Souls Sometimes Switch Places

I read a very interesting article recently about a person who described herself as an “Andromedan Walk-In,” which she explained meant she’d agreed to take another’s soul’s human body and continue that life, while the original soul of the body returned to the soul realms to reincarnate at a different time in a different body. I found this fascinating, and I immediately had questions, so I asked the Archangels to explain this concept further. Their response follows.

Question: Can you please explain “walk-ins” and the reasons behind them? Is this a common practice, and why not just incarnate as a new human, rather than take up where someone else left off?

Answer:

Walk-ins are as you described, souls who step into some other soul’s life when that soul chooses to leave the body. It happens often, but it is not the first choice for most souls. There are always souls waiting to incarnate on Earth. It is a difficult process to describe who goes when, since time in the high realms is so very different than it is on Earth, but walking into another soul’s lifetime is a way to incarnate sooner.
