Unlike some of the other people who read this, I find nothing disrespectful in this article. You offer historical facts. Also, unlike some of the commenters, although I am not Catholic, I love Mary, and pray with her about many things. I’ve channeled her, and I can tell you she’s very loving toward all of us, whether or not we know her. I’ve never asked if the Bible or the Catholic Church portray her factually, because it really doesn’t matter to me. I feel the same about Yeshua (Jesus; I’ve channeled Him, too!). I’ve never asked whether or not he was crucified, resurrected, etc., because it doesn’t really matter to me. I can just imagine what your readers will say about me when they read this. That doesn’t matter to me either. This is my truth, and if it doesn’t resonate, no problem. I’m the odd person out, anyway, as I do not practice traditional religion anymore, yet I love Yeshua, Mary, the Archangels, and pretty much everyone. When it comes right down to it, it doesn’t really matter what you believe, as long as you’re kind to others. Thanks for this perspective.
