To be honest, William, I struggle with this, also. It seems a little uneven, doesn’t it? I’m told that the physical part of us, while at a disadvantage because we don’t have the universal knowledge we have as souls, has power the soul doesn’t have, which is why they incarnate in the first place. Also, regardless of the life plan, we have the free will to override the plan, even though most of us don’t know that.

Here’s the sticking point for me, which I mentioned in a recent article on the body/soul connection. It’s hard not to feel like a puppet being controlled by the soul. Yet, the soul and the body are one entity, not two, so whatever affects one, affects the other. The problem for me is understanding that, because it feels like we’re two separate beings. I’ve been channeling my higher self just recently, and I am beginning to understand, but I’ve got a ways to go. It’s a difficult concept to understand, at least for me. I’ll let you know if and when it makes sense.

In any case, thanks for the question. Sorry I don’t have enough understanding to clarify better. In the meantime, I’m keeping an open mind and heart and trying to trust that my higher self knows better and certainly more than I do.
