This is a big question, and I’d like to point you to my article on The Fall for the full story. You can find it a ways down on my home page. In short, it didn’t used to be this way. Souls came to Earth to experience a physical life, and they came with universal knowledge intact. They knew about human emotions, but they’d never experienced the “bad” emotions, which are not found in the soul realms. They learned but didn’t experience them. Long story short, because of their inexperience, they ended up working in ways that caused the Earth to fall from the 5th dimension to the third, where all of these emotions were present, so we and the planet could survive.

Souls still come to Earth for the experience, but it now includes positive and negative experiences in hopes we will experience all emotions and not fall prey to them again. The Earth has been put back into the fifth dimension, beginning in 2012, so we’re in a transition of sorts. Everything changed after the Fall. Souls do not incarnate with full knowledge anymore, because that would hinder their learning. Life is not meant to be a punishment, but it is meant to teach us. The Angels help us as much as possible, but souls plan their own lives and choose which lessons to target, and that’s the priority, so we can hopefully go back to living an easier, more fulfilling life.

I hope that clarifies things a bit. We cause our own problems, not God or Spirit, or however you know God. Now that we’re back in the 5D, the positive emotions are stronger and the negative are receding, but we’ve still got a long way to go, before they’re rare. Blessings.
