The Archangels Compare Light Workers to Cult Members
I read an article, I think it was in the Atlantic magazine this weekend about a conglomeration of religious zealots who have joined under the title of New Apostolic Reformation (NAR) that was unsettling, to say the least. It didn’t upset me in terms of scaring me, because I know people like that are not going to win and make the world into their warped vision, but it made me stop and think, because they really believe they are doing God’s work.
Their vision includes making the world a Theocracy — Christian, of course — and controlling seven areas of society to include religion, family, education, government, media, arts and entertainment, and business. They think it is their godly purpose to bring “thy kingdom come, thy will be done on Earth as it is in Heaven” to fruition, and no surprise here, it will be a world with no room for the LGBTQ+ folks, people who follow other religions, or anyone else who doesn’t fit their definition of worthy. It didn’t say what they were going to do with those people they didn’t approve of, but I’m sure it was nothing good. They have been called a Christian version of the Taliban.
