Regarding Reiki
The Archangels Explain Healing Energy
I recently received an email asking if Reiki was real. It was only the latest of several such emails regarding this method of energy healing, and it also asked if Yeshua (Jesus) used Reiki when He healed people. Before I get into that, I’d like to share my own experience with Reiki. It turned out to be much more than healing for me.
When I retired, I went to a spa with my mother-in-law, who turned 90 that year. It was a spiritual type retreat with many options to explore. Since retirement is such a huge change, I chose to attend a session with a counselor regarding big life changes and how to get through them. I loved the counselor. His profound words to “let the plan be the journey” and let the journey lead me, rather than making a plan of what I’d do with the rest of my life had a profound effect on me. I’m a planner. I love outlines and lists I can check off. The idea of not planning intrigued me, so I really wanted to try it.
The counselor suggested looking up Zen centers in my area to investigate. I got online that evening and couldn’t find any that appealed when I had a random thought of Reiki.
