Proof, Truth, and the Individual

Everything is Subjective

We are all so different, it would be impossible for all of us to agree on anything. And that’s okay! I think we all do the best we can in any given set of circumstances. We all have minds of our own (granted, some us them more than others), we all have our own priorities, and we all have unique backgrounds. All of these things factor into the way we see the world and everything in it.

Almost nothing is absolutely right or wrong, good or bad, black or white, except when it comes to individual points of view. That’s why ten different people can read the same thing and come to ten different conclusions. They can all believe they are 100% right, and everyone else is wrong. That’s okay, too, as long as there is the realization that everyone has the right to think for themselves, come to their own conclusions, and act on those conclusions, assuming no one else’s rights are compromised.

PERIOD!!!

There shouldn’t be any, “Yeah, buts” at the end or “except whens”. Why would there need to be? If you believe you have the right to think and believe what you want, for whatever reasons, you have to also extend the same courtesy to others and acknowledge that they, too, have the same rights. You can’t say others have the same rights as long as they agree with you. It doesn’t work that…
