Readers Shared The Ways They Take Care of Themselves
Greetings, everyone! I posted an article last week about ways to practice self-care and posted several ways I take care of myself and inviting readers to do the same thing. I got quite a few comments and emails with suggestions, and I’ve put them all together for anyone who’s interested. There are some great ideas here, and most don’t cost anything! I’ve copied and pasted my ideas and added everyone else’s to mine. Thanks to everyone who participated.
Ways to practice self-care:
- Surfing
- Cooking
- Real, hot, thick crusted pizza (Clarification: none of that hellish cauliflower crust)
- High tea and snacks
- Yoga (preferably including a meditation)
- Salt baths with essential oils
- Reading
- Cultural events, including live music, museums, theater, and dance
- Sports
- Box breathing (inhale 4 seconds, hold 4 seconds, exhale 4 seconds
- Self-Reiki
- Spending time with pets, inside and outside
