My mother-in-law would agree with you. Unfortunately, the kind of cancer she has destroys tissue and spreads, leading to gangrene and a multitude of other problems that would be much worse than getting chemo or letting nature take its course, as she would have preferred. She clearly told her doctor that she was not interested in prolonging her life for even a minute. She’s not afraid of dying and is more than ready, but she is afraid of pain and suffering for whatever time she has left here, which is why she agreed to chemo. I hope neither of us ever have to make such a choice. Take care.
