My argument is not with the content itself. Most religions have similar laws at least in part. But when you force any particular religious scripture to be placed in a public setting where there are people of varying religions involved, it suggests that the religion it comes from is better, more acceptable, right, etc., as are those who practice it. That’s the message received by kids in a classroom, based on decades of experience.

The people behind this are not trying to teach what the content of the rules state. They’re trying to suggest that their religion is the only right religion. What do you think they would say if the religious dogma of Islam or Hinduism was demanded to be placed in all public schools ? They are actually similar in many ways to the Ten Commandments.
