It’s None of Your Business!
This One’s for all the Busybodies Out There!
Remember the comedian, Bill Engvall? He’s famous for his “here’s your sign” jokes. The hypothetical sign he referred to was one that would have read, “Stupid,” and when he described something stupid that someone had done, after the story, he’d say, “Here’s your sign,” to underline his point.
I think I’m going to make my own sign that reads, “It’s none of your business,” or maybe “Mind your own business,” so I’ll be better prepared to deal with people who think they have a right to tell other people what to do and not do and how to live their lives. I think I’d start with the politicians.
So, here’s my not so funny list of people and groups of people who have commented on things that are none of their business.
Jim Jordan, a congressman from Ohio, when asked about his thoughts regarding the restrictions on IVF due to recent court findings, and how he felt about restricting people who were having difficulty conceiving, he stated that people needed to have more babies. Mr. Jordan, how many children people have is none of your or any other politician’s business. If a couple wants ten or zero children, it has nothing to do with you. Do you realize that your stance on abortion is limiting people who actually want to have kids? Here’s your sign, Jim.
