I’m so sorry you went through all of that. Christian views on homosexuality is one of the reasons I left Christianity and all traditional religion behind, although I’m not gay. I’m not trying to change your mind or sway you in any way. I do want to share with you that I channel the Archangels, and they’ve told me there is no religion that they or God favors. There is, however, true unconditional love for everyone. I share their messages here on Medium if you’re interested.

It takes courage to question beliefs you’ve held your whole life, especially when they were taught to you by people with good intentions. As I redefined my beliefs, I was often afraid of offending God. I wish I’d known the Angels then, because they’ve since confirmed that most of the things that didn’t make sense to me when I was a Christian are not true. For me, that doesn’t mean God isn’t true, and in fact, I have found peace, joy, hope, and especially love since I left religion behind. I asked the Angels what I should answer when people asked me what religion I am, and they said to say I’m a child of God, and my religion is Love.

However you make sense of your life, as long as it brings you peace, joy, hope and love and inspires you to live a life of kindness toward others, you’re on the right track. If that’s atheism for you, that’s just fine. Not trying to change your mind, but the God I believe in loves everyone unconditionally, regardless of their beliefs. There is no hell, and the only one who judges us is ourselves. Oh, and love is love, and love is always good.

I hope you’re not offended by this. I mean absolutely no offense. I only hope if there is any lingering fear or worry that your lifestyle or beliefs, or lack there of, are wrong or that you’ll be punished or judged, you should know that both your families were wrong. I wish you everything good in your life, and I’m sorry you were treated so unkindly by the misguided people who should have loved and supported you.
