I’m not an atheist, and I’m no longer a Christian. A bunch of Christians have sentenced me to hell, because the channeled messages I share from the Archangels do not support a lot of what they believe, including that there is no hell, that we are loved unconditionally, and that God doesn’t favor or practice any religion. Oh yeah, and that the Bible shouldn’t be taken literally, and you don’t have to be straight, Christian, or go to church to avoid hell, a place that doesn’t exist.
I trusted my heart and intuition and forged my own path and beliefs, and I think that’s what we all should do. If atheism brings you peace and inspires you to be kind, who is anyone else to criticize or condemn you. The only thing I disagreed with in the article is the main idea behind the gospel. Despite what some Christians say, Jesus’s message was clearly about love and acceptance. Even if you don’t believe in Him, that’s easy to understand. He chastised the religious leaders of that time, who were very similar in their judgment and actions of today’s religious leaders. He didn’t come to be worshipped, He came to teach, and he told us to love one another and not judge each other. I’ve never understood why some Christians overlook those parts in the Bible in favor of a “no other way to make it to Heaven unless you do what we tell you to do” approach, which as you pointed out, is ridiculous.
Best wishes, and thanks for the article.
