I really enjoyed your article, Karl. You may be surprised to know that, although I don’t believe in or practice any formal, traditional religion, I do believe in God. As a matter of fact — full disclosure, and brace yourself — I channel Archangels.

Having said that, despite our differences, I highlighted several of your points that I strongly agree with, many of which led to my exit from traditional religion. I very much appreciate your point of view, and I have a better understanding of atheism now, so thank you for that. You explained clearly and pretty respectfully.

You didn’t try to tell me what to believe, and I won’t tell you what to believe, either. Clearly, your way of viewing things works well for you, as does mine for me. When people respect differences, rather than attack them, we can agree to disagree, right? I think, despite our differences, we have much more in common than not.
