I never hide comments, but if I have two negative reactions with the same person regarding the same story, I block them. Every once in a while, I’ll jump in, usually in defense of someone else, but it’s usually a waste of time and effort, because such people are not ready to listen. It was nice of you to stand up for the author, though.
