I enjoyed this, thank you. I appreciate your honesty and relate to trying to make sense of things. I ended up leaving Christianity, because there were too many things I disagreed with, and the God they described didn’t fit with the God I knew and felt.
What if there’s something in between religion and atheism? I found that in between when I started channeling the Archangels. It’s not for everyone, and I’m not trying to sway you or your beliefs, but if you’re interested, I share their messages here on Medium. It sounds funny, but the Angels don’t practice or favor any religion (neither does God). They have no problem with atheism. They say we all have to make sense of things in our own way, and if our beliefs lead to a life of joy, love, peace, and kindness, we’re on the right track. I asked them what I should answer if someone asked me my religion, and they suggested I say I’m a child of God, and my religion is love. That works for me.
I’ve been condemned to hell by lots of Christians, but I don’t believe in hell, so it doesn’t really bother me. I hope you find the answers you seek, and I wish you well. Blessings!
