I don’t think moving on necessarily means getting over someone or something, and it’s not likely anyone will ever forget. I think it’s like any past trauma. You do the best you can to heal from it, and it’s bound to come up again through memories or some trigger, and you take the hit then continue to heal from it as best you can. Also, although love doesn’t die, it can certainly change, or people can change, or you can fool yourself, you know? I have never missed my first husband since out divorce, but I can’t clearly remember loving him like I did my second husband. I was young and naive when we married and I think I wanted to love him and help him more than I actually was in love. My second husband died over a decade ago, and I still love and miss him. Am I just adding to the confusion? Sorry! Blessings.
