I also struggled with this, Marcus. Even today, Putin is compared to Hitler, all these years later. And that’s very telling that a man long dead is still considered the devil incarnate and the worst example of inhumanity in history. His atrocities serve as a horrible example to all of us of what should never be allowed to happen again. If we didn’t have that example, we wouldn’t be able to identify the same kind of sickness we see in Putin, so we can condemn it. I would never suggest that all the death and destruction of the Holocaust was worth it to allow us to recognize such evil, but it did serve a purpose. You can’t experience and appreciate the light if the dark doesn’t also exist, right?
Also, I’m assuming those who suffered during WWII had agreed to their experiences, which is the case for most of us who suffer from violence or terminal illness, for their own reasons connected to learning important lessons. This is the case in the Ukraine today. The Archangels are protecting those who didn’t agree to die in this war, but they won’t override a life plan.
The bottom line is, we don’t have the universal knowledge our souls have, so there are many things we don’t understand. We don’t have the same “big picture” our souls have. I don’t understand the reason behind my husband dying of Parkinson’s disease, but I know it was part of both our life plans. There’s just so much more we don’t understand and know compared to what we do know and see.
Does that make sense?
