How Do You Determine Good and Evil?

I got the best, most thought provoking question from one of my readers today after he read my article about Karma, specifically the part stating that Karma is neither good nor bad. You’ll find the gist of his question below, along with the Archangels’ answer.

Question: Does good and evil “exist” in this physical realm as actual forces and/or how can we reflect on and categorize our actions beyond just the words good and evil themselves?

Answer:

In many cases, the concepts of good and evil on Earth are relative to societal norms. What is acceptable in one society, such as a man being married to several women, may not be considered “good” in another society. But does that then make this action “evil”? “Good”? Neither? Both? And yet, many people judge others based solely on their own, limited, often very different belief system.

Most people have an internal guidance system that lets them know when they are crossing that invisible line between the concepts of good and evil, which is based on a variety of things. Some follow it, while some do not. But, again, perceptions differ greatly. In addition, many consider the circumstances and situation important when making a judgment for good or evil.
