Hi, Michael. Thanks for your thoughtful reply. Obviously, your religion works for you, and that’s a wonderful thing. There are differences in our beliefs, but there are also similarities, I believe. We both love God and Jesus, and we also both hope for peace.

The thing is, there will not be peace in the world if everyone doesn’t respect others’ views. Christianity works well for you, but it doesn’t work for everyone. We’re all too different to fit there. If you look at the base of all major world religions, they’re all based on loving kindness toward God and others. If people live a life like that, regardless of what they are labeled, I think that’s what’s important.

The first time this hit home for me was at a photo display of Tibetan monks and nuns (Buddhists) who were tortured by the Chinese and spent the rest of their lives praying for their torturers. I do not believe those people would be condemned for worshipping in a different way. Jesus is about love, not judgment. He didn’t come here to be worshipped, He came here to teach us, and I try to follow His example, because I love Him so much.

God created all people. He loves all of us unconditionally, and I do not believe good people are condemned because they don’t know Jesus. If they follow His example, what does it really matter? I’m a retired teacher, and I designed my lessons in a way my students could best relate to. I think all these Gods are the same God relating to us in different ways.

I do not believe the Bible is infallible for several reasons, including that there are contradictions in many places. There are also different translations and at least as many interpretations that differ, so how do you choose the one that’s infallible? That’s an honest question, and I don’t mean any disrespect.

Jesus spent time with the dregs of society at that time, those who were outcasts. He told us the second most important commandment, loving our neighbors, was similar to the first, loving God. He did not qualify which neighbors to love, He said simply that we should love them. He told us we shouldn’t judge others, but when Christian churches condemn others, that’s judging. I think that kind of behavior misses the entire point of His ministry.

I truly was not slamming Christians or religion and have written in defense of both many times. I’m sorry if it came across that way. I don’t believe all Christians are like the people on the news who want the government to execute gay people or demand that everyone follow their religious beliefs in schools, governments, etc., and that’s not the way you come across. Unity among people depends on a live and let live mentality. If another’s beliefs differ from mine, such as yours, I don’t judge, and I don’t try to force my beliefs on them. We all have to find our own way that makes sense to us. If the path we choose leads us to live a life of life of loving kindness and brings us joy, hope, peace, and love, I dont believe we will be judged harshly for that.

The Archangels who I speak with love us no matter what we do. They don’t like sin, but they love us, and they don’t judge. These are the same Angels you can find in the Bible. Every message I share is full of love and hope, which is why I’m moved to share them. I wish you continued happiness in your faith. I appreciate your concern for me, but I’m not worried about judgment or hell. I don’t think the Bible is infallible, but if you do and it brings you peace and guidance, great. I think God remains in our hearts, whether we’re in a church or not. He’s always with us.

I appreciate how respectful you were while voicing your disagreement, and I hope I’ve accomplished the same tone in my response. In the end, I guess we’ll just have to agree to disagree. Blessings to you.
