Hi, Melanie. My understanding is that God uses and feels elemental Love, which is different than emotional love, much stronger. It’s what is used in making souls.

Our souls plan our lives, but nothing is set in stone, largely due to free will. Life plans are based on selected lessons to learn, but not everything that happens during our lives is part of the plan, and the human can always choose a different way. The Angels say life plans are always respected in terms of intervening for someone, and also that when divine intervention does occur, it’s always for our best interests, which isn’t always the same as what we want.

I do believe in the power of prayer while acknowledging that it may or may not be answered in the way I want it to be. I trust my soul to know what’s best. It’s kind of like when I channel Reiki healing energy. I hope it helps, but I’m not in control, so I take neither credit nor blame.

The Angels also say there are many ways to pray, including meditation, a walk in nature, a thought of gratitude, and many other things. Prayer isn’t necessary, unless you choose for it to be. If it doesn’t feel right, or you think it’s a waste of time, there’s nothing wrong with that. I always say to find your own path, follow your heart and intuition and make sense of things in your own way. There isn’t a scoreboard or checklist we have to worry about or adhere to, and we’re already loved unconditionally. To each his or her own.
