Hi, John. I’m sorry it took me a while to get back to you, but your question required some thought. After a lot of thought, I love the idea of substituting human self for ego. I liked it as soon as I read your comment, but I need to stress that I don’t have or use “ego” in a professional, psychological context. Having said that, I think it’s a great idea. You’re right, the term ego does have a negative connotation, yet it’s a part of all of us. I believe, eventually, our higher self, or soul, will become equally important if not more so, but that will take time.
I don’t want to overwhelm you, but you seem pretty open minded, so I’ll touch on a couple of related things. If this doesn’t resonate, no worries. Earth is ascending to higher dimensions. It’s been in the third dimension for thousands of years, and that dimension centers around fear and separation. We’re currently in the fifth dimension, which is based in unity and compassion, although most people are still in a 3D mindset, and that’s changing. We’re likely to see more and more people taking note of unacceptable things that have gone on for decades or longer and taking action toward positive change. Consider the BLM and Me Too movements. Whether you agree with them or not, they both address long term issues that most people have ignored until recently.
My Guides are telling me we’re in for some big reveals soon that will prompt more changes. We’re also going to see more people making connection with their higher consciousness. The 5D setting makes this much easier and faster (I wasn’t always able to channel). People born after 2012 were born into the fifth dimension, so they won’t have to adjust like we do. It will be more natural for future generations to want to make the world better, rather than just their neck of the woods. Things are changing, but it’s likely to be a bumpy ride for awhile.
Back to your original question, ego will begin to be less important, because our human self will become more in tune with our higher self, so our priorities will change. We’re on the road toward unity and the belief that everyone on Earth is of equal value and is worthy. I like the idea of substituting human self for ego, and eventually, I think the human self will rise in awareness and strive to do better.
Hope I didn’t lose you along the way. I know a lot of this sounds “out there”, but it’s my truth. I’ve written at length about all of this if you’d like more detail. I want to thank you for your comment, as it was very thought provoking, and I enjoyed thinking about it. If I ever need a counselor or coach, I hope I find one as positive and thoughtful as you seem to be. Best wishes and blessings to you.
