Hi Dean. Your question is one that’s come up several times and something that, as a fellow animal lover, hits close to home, as I’ve had to deal with this a few times, and even knowing what I know, it doesn’t make it any easier to handle the loss.

Animals have souls, and although it doesn’t always happen, they can reincarnate into the family again. More importantly, they very much appreciate us letting them go when they’re in pain. This is never held against us. Also, they often come visit us in spirit. Two of my furry babies do that still, and it’s been years since they’ve gone. I often feel them when I’m in bed, laying next to me in the same place they always did while they were living. Oh, and we do see them again when we cross over, although they often share their time with other family members.

I hope that helps. We miss them, but the love we share with them never dies.
