Hi Bebe. Anytime people use absolutes like ‘all’ or ‘none’ they lose credibility. Anyone who persecutes any group of people based on the actions of some are wrong. I channel the Archangels and share their messages on Medium, and for the most part, they are well received. The messages are all loving, encouraging, and hopeful, which is why I share them, although they don’t always support some religious views. There are two groups who attack me from time to time. Atheists sometimes tell me I’m mentally ill, and Christians tell me I’m going to hell. Of the two groups, Christians are by far the most vicious. However, they are a handful of people, and I’d never assume all Christians are like that.
I recently wrote an article about bashing people and anonymously referred to a non-Christian who bashed Christians, a Christian who bashed several people, including gay people and all non-Christians , and a Christian who wrote a beautiful article listing his beliefs. He didn’t quote the Bible, just listed things like, “Everyone should be treated with dignity”. My point was similar to yours. Nobody should be bashing any group. I also noted that the Christians who are so obnoxious and hateful to everyone are the ones we hear about on the news, rather than those who try to follow Jesus’s example of loving kindness. It is no one’s place to judge anyone else.
Everyone should find whatever path brings peace, love , joy, and hope and leave everyone else to do the same. It’s not Christianity that is the problem, it’s hateful people who try to control others who are fault. Some of them just happen to call themselves Christians. Thanks for your non-judgmental article. Blessings.
