Hi, and thanks for the comment. To answer your question, no, Jesus doesn’t have to be part of the equation, at least I don’t think so. Many religious figures taught similar messages, and they’re equally important. In fact, many atheists follow the same path without following any religion or believing in God.

My point in writing the article was to point out that if you choose to leave traditional religion behind, you don’t have to leave everything attached to it, unless you choose to do so. I know so many people who are afraid to question their beliefs for fear of offending God. I hope if they read the article, it will help them get past that, as I did. Unfortunately, there’s a lot of fear attached to Christianity, and it didn’t come from Jesus.
