Hey there! I wish everyone would get vaccinated and wear a mask, too, and especially because my daughter is a nurse, and she’s on the front lines, it’s aggravating when people don’t. However, I do respect the right for people to choose, mostly because I don’t want anyone taking my right to choose away from me, and it’s not place to judge.
Having said that, although people can choose to endanger their own life by not getting vaccinated, they do not have the right to further endanger others by not wearing a mask in public. Wearing a mask is a temporary action that does not take personal rights away, since you can take it off in private, in my opinion.
Honestly, I think the problem is more that people are reacting out of fear and anger, that they’re deciding based on what crowd they consider they’re with, and lastly, they don’t trust the people behind the information available. In short, the problem is not the virus as much as it is the lack of confidence people have in the people in charge.
