Great essay, Eric. The government has completely lost its credibility, with the Supreme Court following in the other two branches’ footsteps, bringing up the rear. I don’t think the government works for the people, I think that most politicians are more concerned about serving their own interests. I’ve never identified as democrat or republican, but after Trump and his cronies, I’ve become anti Republican. For them to still back Trump after Jan 6th absolutely stuns me and for me, they’ve lost all credibility and integrity. And don’t get me started on “Christian” conservatives who think that everyone should live according to their beliefs! It’s all a power grab for individuals, rather than what’s best for the country and the people. They’ll eventually lose their power, but I worry about the cost to the people and country in the meantime. This could easily lead to violence if people don’t recognize they’re being manipulated using their fear and anger against them. I pray it doesn’t and am doing whatever I can to help people see things more clearly. Thanks for trying to do the same. Blessings!
