Because We Can All Use Some Good News
Happy Friday, everyone! I didn’t realize there were several good news outlets. All great minds think alike, and all that! Makes my job easier! I’ve got some stories to share with you, guaranteed to give you a case of the warm fuzzies to set the mood for a loving, joyful weekend.
Story #1: Determined to Help a Furry Friend in Need (Taken from Apple News from The Washington Post, written by Sydney Page, 12/6/23)
Teri often volunteered at the local animal shelter in her home town in Montgomery County, Texas. Her specialty was setting traps for stray dogs, so she could bring them in for food, medical care, and to hopefully get adopted into a permanent home. Then, she heard about Jughead, a mutt who’d had a plastic container — formally a part of a cat feeder on someone’s front porch where he mooched food — stuck on his head. Unfortunately, he wouldn’t let anyone close to him to take it off. He hung out with another dog, who was always with him when he was spotted. He was a really big dog, thought to be a mastiff mix, and he was extremely skittish. Thankfully, there was a hole in the side of the container, and he’d figured out how to scoop up food with a side twist of his head, so he didn’t starve, but he really…
