Does Anyone Still Trust the SCOTUS?
Is Anyone Going to do Anything About It?
This isn’t an article with a loving Archangel message, sorry. It’s not a bitchfest, either, as I’m managing my anger and aggravation, but it is an article of concern regarding the highest court in the land (in the US, anyway) and those who serve on it.
I’m not really a political person, or at least I never have been until recently, but I don’t see how anyone can possibly be comfortable with some of the things going on in politics right now. Although politics has never been my thing, and I freely admit I’m no expert on it, I am concerned with honesty and integrity, and it should be a given that the Supreme Court Justices are too. That does not seem to be the case.
It’s hard to know what and who to believe these days in the media. Most of my shock comes from reports that began with Politico and spread to other media outlets starting with reporting findings on Justice Clarence Thomas and his affiliation with a GOP mega-supporter, but before we get into that, let’s step back and take an overall look at what seems to be going on.
