Do Souls Ever Get Stuck When Crossing Over?

I had a question from a reader about whether or not any souls get lost or stuck when crossing over and if this ever led to hauntings. After speaking to a friend of mine — thanks, Jillian Marie — who is a psychic and medium about some of her experiences encountering negative energies and souls who haven’t crossed over entirely, I asked the Archangels for more information, which follows.

Question: Do people get stuck between sides of the veil? If so, why? What happens to them?

Answer:

This is not a common occurrence, but it does happen. Usually in such a case, the person who has died is overtaken by guilt and/or fear based on the life just completed. They are burdened by negative energy and are afraid of taking the next step. Sometimes, these individuals have been misled, often with good intentions, into believing they will be punished or that they are unworthy of mercy, forgiveness, and love. Others have experienced such abuse, they are afraid to move forward due to anticipation of more abuse.

Most people who cross over are greeted by loved ones or others who seek to calm and comfort them as well as encourage them while they make the transition. Some souls, however, don’t want to make the crossing. For these lost souls who have not…
