Divine Guidance, or Just Our Own Thoughts?

The Archangels Offer some Clarity

There have been a few times in my life when I’ve had thoughts out of the blue and haven’t known where they came from; but I usually pay attention to them. They’ve kept me safe at times, they’ve helped me make choices occasionally, and some of them I’ve considered and discarded. Some of them I’ve recognized as divine guidance, and some of them were probably my own ideas, but I pay attention to them, not always acting on them, but at least taking them into consideration.

Sometimes I’ve wondered if they are messages from my Guides, and now that I can ask them directly, I often do. Sometimes they confirm they sent me some guidance, and other times they don’t. Every Sunday, instead of asking them a question about something I often turn into an article, I simply ask them if there is anything they want to talk to me about, and that takes care of most major thoughts and ideas they want to share. I know most people haven’t figured out how to do that yet, so I asked the Archangels how we can tell the difference between our own ideas and divine guidance, and their answer follows.

Question: Can you please give us some insight about how we can tell the difference between thoughts that are sent by our Guides and our own thoughts?

Answer:

Our first thought is that it does not really matter, as long as the thoughts are helpful, but we will dig a little deeper and discuss a few things. We will begin with what is not divine guidance.

Divine guidance will never include any harmful thoughts toward you or anyone else. It will never suggest violence, cruelty, or persecution of others. Not ever. No high Guide would ever tell anyone to harm themselves or others. Neither would high Guides ever criticize, judge, or condemn you for any reason.

Anyone who says their Guides — highly awakened Souls, Angels, Ascended Masters, or the Creator — told them to cause harm is either mentally unbalanced or lying. High Guides would never lead you into danger or cause you any trouble. Their purpose is to help you, guide you, encourage you, and in some cases, protect you.
