Count Your Blessings, Not Your Troubles
Where Do You Place Your Focus?
I woke up this morning in Dallas, TX, at my son’s and daughter-in-law’s home. I could hear his deep voice talking, not the words, just the rumble of his voice, and I thought to myself, I have so much for which to be thankful. Yesterday, before my son got home from work, I sat on the couch with my darling daughter-in-law, and I felt baby Georgie kick twice, her hand holding my hand over her tummy. It was the first really BIG kick he’d given, and I was there for it.
I remember my father telling me, especially when things weren’t going my way, that I needed to count my blessings, not my troubles. Although I didn’t always appreciate the advice at the time it was given, I now treasure and follow it, not only because I honor my dad, but because it’s really good advice.
Friday is perhaps my favorite day to write, because I always try to think of something upbeat and positive to bring in the weekend, and I settled on this title, because I was feeling it so deeply. I decided to invite the Angels to add their two cents worth, and their answer follows.
