Can We Please Talk About Trans Kids?
The Archangels Comment on the New, Restrictive Laws Being Passed
I was a teacher for 26 years when I retired a few years ago, so as you can imagine, I’m definitely a children’s advocate. We should all be children’s advocates, don’t you agree? When we talk about trans kids, we need to focus on that second word in the label. Kids.
As more and more states consider passing anti-trans laws — and make no mistake, that’s exactly what they are, never mind the rhetoric used — I get more and more disturbed. Why anyone would attack any child is beyond me.
In Texas, it is now stated in the law that parents who allow their children to get medically prescribed gender affirming care should be investigated for child abuse. In Alabama, it is a felony to provide gender affirming medical care to anyone 19 and younger. Several other states, are trying to pass similar laws.
Some of the propaganda out there is so ridiculous, you have to wonder who would believe such nonsense. Let’s set the record straight on a few things.
