Absolutely beautiful piece, Pene, thank you. When I was young, I was externally beautiful and shallow in many ways. With age came wisdom, and like you, I see the internal beauty in everyone and everything. I also see myself in others’ faces, knowing we’re all more alike than we are different, and appreciating and learning from any differences. I wouldn’t trade this to be young and beautiful again.
