A War on Trans Medical Care is a War on Families
Parental Rights are at Risk
Imagine if your child was not feeling well, had a difficult time relating to others and themselves, was showing signs of depression and anxiety, and was not doing well in school or social settings. Imagine taking them to a medical professional, getting a medical diagnosis, being provided a medical plan of treatment, then being told by someone who doesn’t know you or your child, who has no medical knowledge of what your child is going through, the prognosis, or the treatment needed, stepping in and telling you your child could not receive what he or she needs in order to be healthy.
That’s what the upcoming administration, many conservative politicians, and misinformed, ignorant people are trying to do when it comes to transgender care. There is so much misinformation and propaganda out there, it’s hard to know what to believe, but beyond transgender care, people need to think long and hard about how much power they want politicians and strangers who have never met them or their families, who have no personal or medical knowledge about them or their children, to have when it comes to medical treatment.
